Students also participate in the planning, design, research, and building of each project. Recently, several high school students from the Walatowa High Charter School will participate in a new youth-build initiative.
The Building Cooperative addresses racial and socioeconomic inequity by meeting a community's needs for economic development — as well as safe, healthy, affordable, and culturally supportive housing. We believe that architecture is bigger than a single building, it’s a social art and political act built from profound relationships and hard work.
